Tablao Class with live musicians (once a month)

in-person & zoom

Sundays 1:00-2:00pm EST

September 14, October 5, November 9 and November 30

Tablao is an open-level class for experienced flamenco dancers who want to stretch their training and gain valuable experience performing with live music — featuring a singer, guitarist, and occasionally a percussionist. This interactive class offers a unique opportunity to explore the art of performance in a supportive and encouraging environment. Dancers are invited to present full choreographies or sections of a baile, ask questions, experiment, and receive feedback while collaborating directly with seasoned flamenco musicians. Even if you're not ready to perform solo material, you can still participate meaningfully by joining in with palmas, learning how to properly accompany the dancer, singer, and guitarist, and understanding when and how to execute different palmas styles appropriately. Whether you're preparing for the stage, refining your musicality, or simply want to immerse yourself more deeply in the live flamenco experience, this class is a powerful tool for growth — and recommended for all serious students, regardless of level.
